About Stokvel
Stokvel is a South African drama following four women whose friendship has grown through almost a decade of belonging to the same stokvel. Mary, Cynthia, Bathabile and Puleng have become more like sisters, supporting one another through family problems, financial pressure and personal struggles.
Their bond begins to unravel when Palesa enters their trusted circle. Her schemes expose secrets, create mistrust and place long-standing friendships under pressure as the women begin questioning each other and the foundation of the sisterhood they have built.
