OJ confronts Mapholoba as the family feud threatens his relationship with Thenjiwe, while Nyiko’s lies begin to fall apart. Rebs makes moves to take control of the coal discovery, and Chuma chooses a dangerous path.

Matshidiso’s umhlonyane ceremony puts tradition to the test, while Dabulamanzi uncovers Nyiko’s deception. Thenjiwe becomes worried when OJ disappears, as Chuma turns to a dark revenge plan.

Mapholoba declares war on Chuma after seeing the video of OJ’s assault, while Solomzi offers Dabulamanzi a fresh start. Nandi becomes jealous, and Mapholoba’s search for OJ places Chuma’s family in danger.

Mapholoba takes Chuma’s family hostage and forces him to choose between OJ and his loved ones. OJ suggests a way to end the war, while Solomzi fuels Nandi’s jealousy and Mam Kwena opens a rival salon.

Nyiko convinces Chuma, Solomzi and Rebs that explosives are the fastest way to reach the coal. Their dangerous decision shakes the township overnight.

Nolitha is heartbroken when Chuma’s illegal mining causes Khaya and Ifalethu’s graves to collapse, leaving her unable to forgive him. Dineo confronts Mapholoba about OJ, leading to revelations about Ndaba.

Velaphi and Thulile confront Nyiko about his zama-zama work, while Solomzi and Rebs plan to remove protesters with a bulldozer. Mapholoba claims that Ndaba may be OJ’s biological father, and Nelly becomes suspicious of Nkanyiso.

The Enkanyisweni standoff turns violent when Solomzi drives a bulldozer into the protesters, injuring Mrs Banda and destroying homes. Mapholoba seeks a DNA test to confirm whether OJ is his son, while Nomsa confronts Chuma and Solomzi.
