Shadrach Augustine Effiong, popularly known as Shaddy Jay, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer signed to Jay’s Muzik Worldwide. He gained fame with his hit single “Vibrate.” Shaddy Jay is also the CEO and leading artist of Jay’s Muzik Worldwide. He is set to release his debut EP titled Shades Of Jay, scheduled for release in 2024.

Background

Shadrach Augustine Effiong was born on August 10, 1992, in Cross River State, Nigeria, to Mr. Augustine Effiong and Mrs. Rita Augustine Effiong, both successful business owners. He grew up in Southern Nigeria and studied Mass Communication at the prestigious Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic. After graduating, Shaddy Jay ventured into the laundry business, which helped finance his music career until 2020 when he traveled to Algeria on a business trip.

Music Career

Shaddy Jay returned to Uyo in 2021 and reignited his music career. Since then, he has consistently released hits. As an Afrobeat, dancehall, and pop musician, he came into the limelight with the release of his song “Vibrate” in 2023. Following that, he released other popular tracks, including “Zero Love” and “New” featuring Feelingz.
