October begins with Rhami making a decision that puts even more strain on his already complicated family life. Choosing Kea over his children leaves Lethabo and Warona hurt, and the consequences of that choice continue following him throughout the month.
His marriage to Kea is hardly stable either. Ultimatums, disagreements about family and the pressure of trying to blend two households eventually push their relationship towards breaking point.
Mapula faces an even more immediate crisis when she is arrested for fraud. A night behind bars gives her plenty to think about, but the damage goes far beyond the arrest itself. Ernest begins uncovering more secrets, and the cracks in their marriage become increasingly difficult to repair.
Lerato also has a difficult month. After admitting that she was deceived by a married man, she discovers she is pregnant. The news destroys her relationship with Mondli and leaves her carrying even more emotional weight.
