October begins exactly where September left off, with Manjiri doubting whether she should allow herself to love Raaya after Guruji’s frightening warning.
The truth soon comes out. Raaya sets a trap for Shashikala, and Guruji eventually admits that she paid him to frighten Manjiri away from the relationship. Manjiri finally throws Shashikala out, but removing her from the house does not remove her from their lives.
Shashikala quickly turns to revenge. Uma is framed and arrested, Raaya’s wrestling opponent is bribed, and one scheme after another is designed to bring pain back into Manjiri and Raaya’s lives.
Raaya and Manjiri also continue hurting each other emotionally. His comments about family leave Manjiri feeling rejected, while his decision to apparently marry another woman sends her into panic just as she finally gathers the courage to admit what she feels.
Thankfully for Manjiri, Nisha is not really about to take Raaya away. The supposed marriage is revealed to be a test, and Raaya finally proposes to Manjiri.
Their engagement should mark the beginning of a happier chapter, but Shantanu’s condition immediately creates a new problem.
Neither Raaya nor Jay initially realises that the injured wrestler is Manjiri’s brother. Once the truth becomes clear, Shashikala sees another opportunity to destroy the couple and tells Manjiri that Raaya is responsible for what happened to him.
Manjiri refuses to turn against Raaya without hearing the truth, but Shantanu himself wakes up still angry with him.
