Phiwe’s investigation becomes much more focused in November. She starts by examining links between the hijacking and two officers, then quietly looks into the lifestyles of her colleagues and becomes suspicious of Nkosi.
Her instincts eventually prove important when she arrests him, but the case changes completely after his death. When pathology confirms that he was poisoned inside the station, Phiwe realises the corruption she is dealing with may be far closer than she thought.
Nkosi’s Death Changes Everything
Nkosi spends much of the month under growing pressure. Mazwi becomes aware of him, Phiwe starts following the evidence, and the space around him continues shrinking until he is eventually arrested.
