October at a Glance
October starts with Ntsiki convinced that getting closer to Banzi will bring her the outcome she wants, but the situation quickly becomes more complicated. Banzi’s feelings, Lethabo’s involvement and Ntsiki’s determination create one of the month’s most volatile storylines.
Money also becomes a major source of trouble. Ntando and Kopano’s side hustle grows from something secretive into something capable of bringing serious consequences, while Madimetja becomes increasingly fascinated by the money surrounding Papi.
The month becomes considerably darker from 19 October onwards. A devastating discovery, a missing family member and a threat against the Dhlomos push several characters into dangerous territory. Papi also discovers that somebody close to him has turned against him, setting up a tense hunt for the culprit.
October closes with some lighter romantic movement for Balungile, but even that develops while other characters are still dealing with betrayal, violence and the consequences of their earlier choices.

Ntsiki Refuses to Give Up on Banzi
Ntsiki spends much of October refusing to accept defeat where Banzi is concerned. She investigates anyone she believes may be standing in her way and eventually gets closer to him, but her apparent victory proves unstable. By later in the month, her obsession has become part of a much more dangerous situation.
Banzi and Lethabo Face a Major Crisis
Banzi’s relationship with Lethabo becomes increasingly strained after a devastating confession. The distance between them grows, and Banzi eventually finds himself dealing with a missing family member and the consequences of events that place the Dhlomos in serious danger.
Madimetja Gets Pulled Towards Papi’s World
Madimetja is initially tempted by the money surrounding Papi’s dealings. Despite Vera’s attempts to keep him on the right side of the law, financial desperation continues to push him closer to risky choices. By the end of the month, Bassie is openly worried about his involvement.
