A high-profile event at the American Embassy brings some of Mexico’s most powerful government figures together, including Cifuentes and his wife. With so many important players in one place, the atmosphere is anything but ordinary.

Horacio approaches Ligia with extremely valuable information, including cartel locations and the whereabouts of a major Casillas stash house. Ligia is interested, but makes it clear she cannot afford what he is asking.

Alfaro wants Horacio to serve as a political bridge for the Casillas family. Ligia, meanwhile, discovers that the supposedly respectable official is far more involved in the drug trade than he appears.

Ángela is crushed to learn that Elizabeth, someone she greatly admired, is connected to drug trafficking. The discovery reopens painful memories of what happened to her parents.

Eréndira realises she is being followed by the Jaguar’s men. She first tries talking her way out of the situation, but when that fails, she has no choice but to defend herself.

Víctor goes after Tiberio in an attempt to rescue Ofelia. Just when the situation looks impossible, unexpected help from Carlos gives them the chance they need to get away.

The cousins finally reunite in an emotional moment. Diana and Ismael put their differences aside long enough to admit that surviving what lies ahead will require them to work together.

Diana finds herself at the mercy of El Gancho, who makes it clear just how far he is prepared to go to force information out of her. His target is Aurelio’s hidden stash.

Cifuentes gives Isabela devastating news about Eréndira. According to him, the damage to her brain cannot be reversed.

Ismael wants nothing to do with Lucy’s proposed alliance because he refuses to work alongside people who have hurt his family. Lucy, however, knows exactly which name might make him reconsider: Aurelio.

Roberta manages to convince the President that the military headquarters needs to be inspected. The goal is to uncover evidence that could finally be used against the General.

Elizabeth and her team reach the cabin expecting to find the Jaguar, but he is nowhere to be seen. She soon begins to suspect that he may have returned to his mother’s home.

The Jaguar’s mother threatens to involve the police when her son locks himself in a room with Luz. Elizabeth arrives at a critical moment and finds the Jaguar preparing to kill her.

The President uses a press conference to publicly name Víctor, Ofelia, Elizabeth and El Parcero as suspects in the murder. Their faces are shown to the country as the pressure against them increases.

Cifuentes receives permission from the President to deploy the army into the streets. Elizabeth, Chacorta, El Parcero and Ofelia are officially declared military targets.

Diana returns to the ranch unsettled after her confrontation with Lucy. When she speaks to Ismael, it becomes clear that neither of them believes Lucy can be trusted.

The General’s men corner Ofelia while Laura manages to slip away. Her escape does not last long, because she soon crosses paths with Tiberio, who tricks her into leaving with him.
